Dining Tables (and Chairs)

In this busy world of ours, we tend to do many things "on the run", including eating. Maybe that's because we don't have a comfortable and beautiful place to sit and enjoy our meal. I have made so many dining tables, of various styles, shapes, materials and finishes, and my clients really appreciate their special dining table (and chairs) made specifically for their wants and needs.

I made a very contemporary all-steel dining table that was 52" wide x 14 feet long with a rusted finish for a home in Park City, Utah. The contemporary style of the table was in contrast with the rugged outdoors and worked perfectly for my clients design approach and their love of entertaining.

A Saudi family hired me to make a dining table for their yacht. The table had a stainless steel base with a heavy glass top and a deeply-carved rope design around the border, perfect for a boating theme.

Another dining table I designed and made had built-in leaves, so that when my client opened up the top of the table the leaves automatically came up and fell into place. This table was made out of Pacific Northwest Myrtle with a heavy forged-iron base. A great solution for people who use their dining set on a daily basis, yet can expand for those times when larger family gatherings or parties are held.

My dining tables are always made of solid woods, thick steel or hand-forged iron, heavy thick glass up to 1-1/2" thick and/or stone, either singly or in combination of materials. I also include carving when appropriate. My finishes are either a catalyzed or marine finish like a conversion varnish so that the top won't be affected by spill of wine, food, or a leaky vase of flowers.

Below are some examples of some of the dining tables, and chairs, I have made. And please see more tables under "Furniture" on my website.
