Large Screen TV and Stereo Cabinet for a Home in Rancho Santa Fe, California
The beautiful large screen TV and stereo cabinet pictured is in the Japanese style and it is made of solid Mozambique wood. I custom designed, built, and hand carved this piece especially for my clients and you won’t find anything like this anywhere.
The large screen TV is covered by large pocket doors that fit inside the cabinet when opened and likewise the stereo equipment in the lower section. On either side of the lower cabinet are eight storage drawers with carved leaves and branches. The drawer pulls are part of the carving.
The speakers are covered with carved filigree maple leaves and branches in the upper left and right with carved filigree leaves in the lower center of the cabinet. The scene on the doors is a lake in a forest with a small bridge over a creek running into the large lake with deer in the forest surrounding the lake and a small boat ready to cross the lake.
Everything is hand carved in heavy relief. The wood is left in it’s natural color with a conversion varnish matte finish that will last many years. This entertainment center, as with all my projects, will last several lifetimes and will be able to be passed down through generations.
