In My Garden: Blueberries!
Above: Each tub contains about four cups of blueberries!
My blueberries are back, and the bushes are producing hundreds more blueberries than last year (see my blueberry blog, May 2015). Every morning I have a handful on my cereal and during the day I snack on them. And there are plenty for Laura to make baked goods with.
They are thriving in the large pots I have them planted in. With plenty of sun, and watered only twice a week, they are flavorful and plentiful.
People are always asking me what my secret to growing blueberries is. It's really no secret that cottonseed meal is the main ingredient for growing abundant and delicious blues. It is very acidic which the blueberries need and have the right amount of potassium, nitrogen and potash.
